Advisor & Company Information Dr. Olivia Herriford, a management and organization consultant with expertise in change management, strategic planning, and leadership development, had over 25 years of management experience before starting her own firm in 1996.
Prior to starting Herriford Consulting, Olivia managed customer-facing teams and organizations responsible for implementing and supporting hardware and software technology. A strong believer in servant leadership, she also has over 14 years of service on non-profit boards and is adjunct faculty for two universities teaching undergraduate and graduate management and business courses.
Olivia’s major accomplishments during her technology management career include
• Creation of a hiring and development program for entry level technical personnel
• Turnaround of a failing but highly visible onsite systems support organization
• Restructure of a database software company’s call center that improved customer response time over 100% and increased both employee productivity and morale
• Leading the implementation of one of the largest hardware sales in a major minicomputer manufacturer’s history
As a management consultant, Olivia has
• Facilitated the development of strategic and operational plans for nine California Superior Courts
• Led conversion of work-productivity system for an online financial organization
• Built an internet application service provider’s customer implementation department from a 5-person startup to a multi-center international operation
• Facilitated diversity strategic planning for an auto insurer, public utility, and energy company
• Developed cultural maturity model, based upon the Carnegie Melon People Capability Maturity Model®, as part of a cultural transformation initiative for an auto insurer
• Work several large change initiatives as a resource for one of the bay area’s leading change management consulting firms
