About The Council

The Council of Business Advisors was founded in 2007 by a core group of Bay Area professionals who wanted a better forum to expand their network of professional resources and other trusted advisors.

Drawing on their experiences with other professional and networking groups, the founders developed a format and structure for the Council to make it provide as much value as possible to each member. Since that time, the Council has continued to expand, and now has groups in San Francisco, the East Bay and the Peninsula/Silicon Valley.

Council members make up a diverse network of professionals, some who work in large companies, and others who are independent consultants or work in small firms. Check out our members on the Find Advisors page.

The common bond is the desire to expand the member's sphere of contacts, resources, and influence. As one member puts it, he feels like the others around the table are his board of directors.

The organization continually invites suggestions from members in order to continue to improve its value both to members and to the business community.
